TRAVEL: CUBA – First Impressions

On the surface little seems to have changed in the 10 years since I was last in Havana. That said, there appears to be two distinct developments – more cars and shops.

Despite the US blockade, which supposedly outlaws international trade with Cuba, French cars – Peugeots and fiats crowd the streets. To the extent –  at least in Havana – that they are beginning to outnumber the old US dodges, which are so loved by foreign visitors.
